In science it was our last week recording our weather data and we started our weather science project. In math we took our Dividing Whole Numbers By Unit Fractions Test. In ELA Ms. Goto's class finished the Westward Expansion book, and did our Paideia
This week in math we learned how to divide whole numbers by unit fractions. We were introduced to a new project in science. There are many projects you can choose from; like how weather affects animals, how different ecosystems relate to different common weather. In ELA we finished most of our book club books. We had First in Fitness this week, congrats to the winners! In social studies we worked on theme and summarizing of stories with evidence from the text.
By Mateo and Isabel This week we had are math and reading ELO (essential learning outcome). In science we learned about fronts (warm fronts and cold fronts) and how they work with clouds. In social studies we are learning about the westward expansion and the California gold rush. Some book clubs have finished their books in ELA and have moved on to a new book. We also started a new read aloud book called the west ward expansion.
